Caramel popcorn
Ingredients/Components
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- brown sugar - 2 c
- baking soda - 1/2 tsp
- margarine - 1 c
- popped corn - 7 qt
- peanuts - 1 c
- Karo syrup - 1/2 c
How to make caramel popcorn:
Mix brown sugar, margarine, Karo and salt. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Boil 5 minutes. Remove pan from heat. Stir in vanilla and soda. Put popcorn in buttered roasting pan. Pour hot syrup over corn; mix well. Bake at 250° for one hour, stirring occasionally.Recipe categories: Lunch/snacks, Snacks, Grains.
