  • bacon - 1/2 lb
  • small clove garlic or powder - 1 item
  • B & M baked beans - 1 (28
  • lima beans or butter beans - 1 (15

How to make calico baked beans:

Brown hamburger; saute bacon, but not too crisp. Fry onion slightly in bacon fat. Add rest of ingredients; mix well. Bake in a covered baking dish 35 minutes at 350°. Stir beans, twice during baking. Hamburger may be omitted and 1 pound hot dogs may be added instead.
