Cabbage soup
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 Tbsp
- sour cream - 1 item
- salt - 1 Tbsp
- water - 3 qt
- shredded carrots - 2 c
- lemon juice - 4 Tbsp
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- chopped onion - 2 c
- chopped celery - 2 c
- shredded cabbage - 8 c
- chicken wings - 1/2 lb
- can tomatoes - 1 oz
- can sauerkraut, rinsed and drained - 1 lb
- beef short ribs - 2 lb
How to make cabbage soup:
Simmer beef ribs, chicken wings and water for 3 hours. Remove meat from bones. Discard bones. Refrigerate meat and broth separately overnight. Skim off and discard fat the next day. Combine broth and meat. Add other ingredients and simmer for 3 hours. Serve in bowls with a dollop of sour cream.Recipe categories: American, Vegetables, Soups & stews.
