Spicy barbecue sauce
Ingredients/Components
- cloves unpeeled garlic - 6 item
- ketchup - 2 c
- stalks chopped celery - 2 item
- water - 1 c
- chopped onion - 1/2 c
- brown sugar - 1/2 c
- oleo - 1/2 c
- Worcestershire sauce - 1/2 c
- cider vinegar - 1/2 c
- chili powder - 3 Tbsp
- instant coffee granules - 2 tsp
- dried crushed red pepper - 2 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- ground cloves - 1/2 tsp
How to make spicy barbecue sauce:
Bake garlic in a small baking pan at 350° for 20 to 30 minutes or until lightly brown. Cool and peel. Combine garlic and remaining ingredients in a saucepan. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer 20 minutes. Cool. Pour into blender; process until smooth, stopping once to scrape down sides.
