Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- ground beef
- can tomato soup - 1 item
- rice - 1 Tbsp
- can sauerkraut - 1 item
- soup can water - 1 item
- cabbage leaves - 12 item
How to make cabbage rolls:
Place cabbage leaves in boiling water until tender. Mix rice, salt, meat, pepper and egg. Form meat mixture into balls and wrap cabbage leaves around them. Spread half of sauerkraut on bottom of Dutch oven; place a layer of cabbage rolls on top and spread remaining kraut on top. Add tomato soup and water; cover. Cook 1 hour and 30 minutes on top of stove. Makes 6 servings.Recipe categories: Main dish, Casseroles, Pork.
