Butternut pound cake
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- all-purpose flour - 3 c
- large eggs - 5 item
- Crisco - 1/2 c
- sticks butter - 2 item
- can evaporated milk add water to make 1 c - 1 oz
- vanilla-butternut flavor or 1 tsp - 2 tsp
How to make butternut pound cake:
Cream shortenings and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time; beat until fluffy. Add flour, salt and milk alternately, ending with flour. Fold in. Add flavoring. Bake in large, greased and well floured tube pan at 325° for about 1 1/2 hours. Sprinkle with confectioners sugar when cool.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, For large groups.
