Pound cake

Ingredients/Components

• sugar - 3 c
• vanilla - 1 tsp
• milk - 1 c
• salt - 1/4 tsp
• baking powder - 1/2 tsp
• all-purpose flour - 3 c
• large eggs - 5 item
• Crisco - 1/2 c
• margarine - 1/2 lb
• lemon flavoring - 1 tsp

How to make pound cake:

Sift flour 3 times. Cream margarine, sugar and Crisco. Add eggs one at a time. Add flavoring. Add flour, salt and baking powder (mixed together) alternately with milk. Bake at 300° for 1 1/2 hours.

Note: For chocolate pound cake, add 1/2 cup cocoa.
