Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 2 c
  • eggs - 4 item
  • milk - 1 c
  • chopped nuts - 1 c
  • stick margarine - 1 item
  • coconut - 1 c
  • self-rising flour - 2 c
  • Crisco - 1 c
  • box powdered sugar - 1 item
  • butternut flavoring - 1 Tbsp
  • Add milk and flavoring

How to make butternut cake:

Blend sugar, eggs and Crisco. Add milk and flavoring. Gradually beat in flour. Bake in 3 greased and floured cake pans until golden brown, 18 to 20 minutes.Icing:1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese1 stick margarine1 box powdered sugar1 c. coconut1 c. chopped nuts Blend the cream cheese and margarine. Add and blend the powdered sugar, coconut and nuts. Spread on cooled cake. Store in refrigerator.
