Ingredients/Components

• sugar - 3 c
• eggs - 6 item
• vanilla - 1 tsp
• sour cream - 1 c
• salt - 1/2 tsp
• butter - 1 lb
• water - 1/2 c
• soda - 1/4 tsp
• flour plain - 3 c
• Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each
• pinches mace - 2 item

How to make butter pound cake:

Cream the butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each. Beat in sour cream. Mix in remaining ingredients and bake in wax paper line tube pan at 350° for 1 hour and 20 minutes.Topping:1/2 stick butter1/2 c. sugar1/2 c. water Mix and pour over warm cake.
