- sugar - 2 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- eggs - 6 item
- milk
- chopped nuts - 1/2 c
- flour
- stick margarine - 1 item
- nutmeg - 1 tsp
- coconut - 1/2 c
- buttermilk - 1 c
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- self-rising flour - 2 c
- allspice - 1 tsp
- ground cloves - 1 tsp
- chopped raisins - 1/2 c
- Wesson oil - 1 c
- blackberry jam - 1 c
- peach jam - 1 c
- black walnut meats - 1 c
How to make jam cake:
Filling:3/4 c. milk1 stick margarine1 c. sugar1 1/2 Tbsp. flour1/2 c. chopped nuts1/2 c. chopped raisins1/2 c. coconut Mix all cake ingredients together. It will be a very thin batter. Pour into 3 greased and floured cake pans. Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes until done. Cool. Put the layers together with the filling.Filling: Cook the milk, margarine, sugar and flour until thick. Remove from heat and add the nuts, raisins and coconut. Frost the cake with caramel frosting. This is a very moist cake.
