Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- pkg - 1 oz
- milk - 1 c
- self-rising flour - 1/2 c
- Crisco - 1/2 c
- margarine - 1/2 c
- box confectioners sugar - 1 item
- butter flavoring - 2 tsp
- cake flour
- whole eggs - 4 item
- Add eggs, one at a time, and beat well
How to make butternut cake:
Cream sugar and shortening at high speed 10 minutes. Add eggs, one at a time, and beat well. Add one cup flour. Beat at a low speed one minute. Add remaining flour and milk. Beat well. Add flavoring. Bake at 350° for 1 hour in greased tube pan.Icing:1 stick margarine1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese1 box confectioners sugar1 tsp. butter flavoring Mix well. Add 1 cup chopped pecans; mix. Spread on cake.
