Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- eggs - 4 item
- pkg - 1 oz
- milk - 1 c
- chopped nuts - 1 c
- flaked coconut
- self-rising flour - 2 c
- Crisco - 1 c
- box powdered sugar - 1 item
- butternut flavoring - 1 Tbsp
- Add eggs; beat well
How to make butternut cake:
Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs; beat well. Alternate flour and milk. Add flavoring. Bake in tube pan or 3 (8-inch) cake pans which have been greased and floured. Bake at 350° until lightly brown (approximately 1 hour) for tube pan.Icing:1 stick margarine1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese1 box powdered sugar1 Tbsp. butternut flavoring1 c. chopped nuts1 1/2 c. flaked coconut Cream butter and cream cheese.
