- sugar - 2 Tbsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- plus 2 Tbsp - 1/4 c
- unbleached all-purpose flour
- chilled solid vegetable shortening - 1/2 c
- 1 stick chilled unsalted butter, diced - 1/2 c
How to make buttermilk pie crust dough:
Combine flour, sugar and salt in large bowl. Add butter and shortening. Cut in, using hands or pastry blender, until mixture resembles coarse meal.
