Ingredients/Components
- butter or margarine - 1/2 c
- granulated white sugar
- whole eggs, slightly beaten - 3 item
- cornstarch
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- buttermilk - 1/2 c
How to make buttermilk pie:
Preheat oven to 375°. Cream butter until soft and add sugar, beaten eggs, cornstarch and vanilla. Beat until blended well. Add buttermilk. Mix well. Pour into a 9-inch unbaked pie crust and bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown and set firm.For variation, coconut may be added. This pie is delicious when served warm.
