Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- eggs - 3 item
- vanilla - 2 tsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- flour
- soda - 1/4 tsp
- buttermilk - 1 c
- sticks oleo or shortening - 2 item
How to make buttermilk cake:
Cream butter with sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each. Mix soda with buttermilk. Add to mixture; beat well. Sift flour 3 times before measuring, then add salt. Add in small amounts at a time. Add vanilla. Bake at 325° for 1 1/2 hours in greased and floured tube pan.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Low sodium.
