Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- eggs - 3 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1 c
- flour - 2 c
- oil - 1 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- buttermilk - 1 c
- stick butter - 1/3 item
- raisins - 1 c
- light corn syrup - 2 Tbsp
- allspice - 1 tsp
- Combine rest of flour with other dry ingredients
How to make buttermilk spice cake:
Sift a little flour over raisins and nuts. Combine rest of flour with other dry ingredients. Add oil, buttermilk, eggs and sugar. Beat until smooth. Stir in nuts and raisins. Pour in tube pan. Bake at 350° for 1 hour.Topping:3/4 c. buttermilk3/4 c. sugar2 Tbsp. light corn syrup1 tsp. soda1 tsp. vanilla1/3 stick butter Combine the ingredients; heat until bubbly.
