- milk - 1 c
- chopped nuts - 1 c
- large eggs - 5 item
- stick butter - 1 item
- self-rising flour - 1 c
- plain flour - 2 c
- Crisco - 1 c
- white sugar - 1 c
- maple flavoring - 1/2 tsp
- box light brown sugar - 1 item
How to make brown sugar pound cake:
Mix sugar, butter and Crisco; cream well. Add eggs, one at a time. Beat after each addition until smooth. Add flour and milk, alternating; mix well. Add flavorings and nuts. Bake in tube pan at 325° for 1 1/2 hours.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Weeknight.
