  • chopped nuts - 1 c
  • large eggs - 5 item
  • stick butter - 1 item
  • self-rising flour - 1 c
  • plain flour - 2 c
  • Crisco - 1 c
  • white sugar - 1 c
  • maple flavoring - 1/2 tsp
  • box light brown sugar - 1 item

How to make brown sugar pound cake:

Mix sugar, butter and Crisco; cream well. Add eggs, one at a time. Beat after each addition until smooth. Add flour and milk, alternating; mix well. Add flavorings and nuts. Bake in tube pan at 325° for 1 1/2 hours.
