- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- buttermilk - 3/4 c
- baking powder
- baking soda - 1/4 tsp
- shortening - 1/8 c
- lard - 1/8 c
How to make buttermilk biscuits:
Cut shortening and lard into flour until coarse like oatmeal. Add baking soda, buttermilk, baking powder and salt. Turn dough on floured board. Break or cut into sphere size shapes. Bake in a 475° oven for 10 to 12 minutes, until golden brown.Recipe categories: Breads, Breakfast, Rolls/biscuits.
