Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 3 item
- milk - 3/4 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- prepared mustard - 1/2 tsp
- dash of pepper - 1 item
- shredded Cheddar cheese - 1/2 c
- slices day-old bread - 3 item
How to make brunch casserole:
Grease a 1-quart baking dish. Break bread into cubes. Toss with cheese in baking dish. Beat eggs, milk, mustard, salt and pepper and pour over bread and cheese. Cover and refrigerate several hours or overnight. Bake, covered at 350° for 45 to 50 minutes.Variations: Brown and drain 1/3 pound of sausage; add with bread. Or shred cooked ham or dried beef and add with bread and cheese.
