Ingredients/Components

  • Robin Hood unbleached flour - 2 c
  • sugar - 1 Tbsp
  • baking powder - 3 tsp
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • shortening - 1/2 c
  • milk - 3/4 c
  • finely chopped onion - 1 Tbsp
  • eggs - 2 item
  • shredded Monterey Jack cheese 6 oz
  • 8 oz - 1 pkg
  • dried oregano leaves - 1 tsp

How to make breakfast pizza:

Topping:1/2 c. milk1 Tbsp. finely chopped onion1/2 tsp. salt2 eggs1 1/2 c. shredded Monterey Jack cheese (6 oz.)1 pkg. (8 oz.) Brown 'N Serve sausage links, thinly sliced1 tsp. dried oregano leaves Mix flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in medium bowl; cut in shortening with pastry blender until mixture resembles fine crumbs. Stir in milk until dough leaves side of bowl. (Dough will be soft and sticky.) Turn dough onto lightly floured surface. Knead lightly 10 times. Press dough with floured hands on bottom and up sides of greased 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1-inch jelly roll pan. Bake in 425° oven 10 minutes.

Prepare Topping: Beat milk, onion, salt and eggs in small bowl; stir in cheese. Spread over dough; arrange sausages on top. Sprinkle with oregano. Bake in 425° oven until set, about 25 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes before cutting. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
