Ingredients/Components
- cream cheese - 3 oz
- eggs - 2 item
- milk - 1/4 c
- eggs, beaten - 2 item
- biscuit mix - 1 c
- shredded Cheddar cheese - 1 c
- onion, chopped - 1/4 c
- sesame seed, toasted - 1 Tbsp
- sausage, cooked and drained - 1 lb
- cottage cheese, creamed - 12 oz
How to make breakfast pie:
Combine sausage, 2 eggs, cottage cheese, Cheddar cheese and cream cheese together; set aside. Combine biscuit mix and onions in a bowl. Combine 2 eggs and milk; pour over biscuit mix. Stir only until mixture is moistened. Spoon half of batter into a greased 9-inch dish or pie pan. Spoon in cheese mixture. Top with remaining batter. Sprinkle with toasted sesame seed. Bake at 375° for 30 to 35 minutes or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean. Let stand 5 minutes before cutting.Recipe categories: Breakfast, Cheese, Pork.
