Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/4 c
- cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- milk - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/8 tsp
- flour
- nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
- baking powder
- melted butter - 3 Tbsp
- egg, beaten - 1 item
How to make breakfast muffins:
Combine 1/4 cup sugar and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon. Set aside. In a bowl, stir together flour, 1/2 cup sugar, baking powder, nutmeg and salt. In another bowl, combine egg, milk and 1/3 cup melted butter. Add to flour mixture. Stir until moistened. Fill greased muffin pan (or line with baking cups) 2/3 full. Bake in 350° oven for 20 to 25 minutes. Immediately dip tops into 3 tablespoons melted butter, then dip or sprinkle tops in cinnamon-sugar mixture.Recipe categories: Breads, Quick breads, Muffins.
