Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- milk - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour
- nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
- baking powder
- melted butter - 1/2 c
- egg - 1 item
- shortening - 1/3 c
How to make feather light muffins:
Topping:1/2 c. sugar1 tsp. cinnamon1/2 c. melted butter Cream shortening, sugar and egg. Combine dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture alternately with milk.Fill greased muffin tins 2/3 full. Bake at 325° for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool for 3 to 4 minutes.
Combine sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl. Roll tops of muffins in melted butter, then in sugar mixture. Serve warm. Makes 8 to 10 muffins.
