Breakfast casserole
Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 5 item
- half and half - 2 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- softened butter or margarine - 1 item
- dry mustard - 1 tsp
- shredded Longhorn cheese
- bulk loose sausage - 1 lb
- slices or cubes white bread, crusts removed - 6 item
How to make breakfast casserole:
Cook sausage over medium heat until done, stirring to crumble well. Drain on paper towels; set aside. Spread each slice of bread with butter; cut into cubes. Place bread cubes in 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan. Sprinkle with the sausage and top with the cheese. Combine remaining ingredients; beat well and pour over mixture in pan. Chill at least 8 hours. Remove from refrigerator and bake at 350° for 40 to 50 minutes. Yields 6 servings.Recipe categories: Breakfast, Casseroles, One Dish meal.
