Ingredients/Components

  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • flour - 3/4 c
  • melted margarine - 1/2 c
  • baking powder - 1 tsp
  • egg - 1 item
  • salt optional - 1/4 tsp
  • chopped walnuts optional - 1 item
  • banana, mashed - 1 item
  • honey or less - 1/4 c
  • All-Bran or granola cereal or rolled oats

How to make breakfast bars:

Set 1/2 cup cereal aside. Combine remaining ingredients. Spread into greased 11 x 7-inch baking dish. Crush reserved cereal and sprinkle over batter. Bake at 350° for 25 minutes. Cool a few minutes and cut into squares.
