  • packed brown sugar - 1/3 c
  • vanilla extract
  • cornstarch - 1 Tbsp
  • water - 3/4 c
  • raisins - 1/3 c
  • margarine - 1 Tbsp
  • ground cinnamon
  • ground nutmeg - 1 tsp
  • skim milk - 2 c
  • egg substitute - 1/2 c
  • French bread cubes - 5 c
  • whiskey or bourbon - 1/4 c
  • Add bread and raisins; stir

How to make bread pudding with whiskey sauce:

Combine sugar, egg, milk, nutmeg, cinnamon and vanilla. Add bread and raisins; stir. Spoon mixture into 8 cups. Place in shallow pan with 3/4 inch hot water. Bake at 350° for 25 minutes. Add Whiskey Sauce.Whiskey Sauce:2 Tbsp. sugar1 Tbsp. cornstarch1 Tbsp. margarine3/4 c. water1/4 c. whiskey or bourbon Combine ingredients in saucepan. Heat and stir. Pour over bread pudding.
