Brazil nut cake
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- brown sugar
- eggs, separated - 7 item
- water - 5 Tbsp
- shelled Brazil nuts - 2 lb
How to make brazil nut cake:
Grind nuts very fine. Beat egg yellows. Add sugar and beat. Add nuts and mix. Beat egg whites and fold into nut mixture. Bake in two layers at 350° until done. Test with toothpick.Filling: Mix 2 egg whites, water and brown sugar. Cook in top of double boiler, over boiling water, beating constantly until peaks form. Spread between layers and on top and sides. Do not beat egg whites before adding water and brown sugar. Do not double this recipe.
