Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1/3 c
  • eggs - 2 item
  • milk - 2/3 c
  • salt - 3/4 tsp
  • flour - 2 c
  • baking powder - 4 tsp
  • shortening - 1/4 c
  • blueberries fresh or well drained, canned or frozen - 2/3 c

How to make blueberry muffins:

Set oven for hot (400°). Cream the shortening. Add sugar gradually, creaming thoroughly. Beat eggs. Add. Mix and sift 1 2/3 cup flour, baking powder and salt. Add alternately with milk to first mixture. Mix blueberries with remaining flour; stir lightly. Bake in greased muffin pans 1/2 hour. Makes 12 large muffins.
