  • sugar - 2 c
  • cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • eggs - 5 item
  • vanilla - 2 tsp
  • butter or margarine - 1 c
  • flour - 3 c
  • nutmeg - 1 tsp
  • soda - 1 tsp
  • baking powder - 1 Tbsp
  • berries and juice - 2 c

How to make blackberry cake:

Cream together butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition. Combine dry ingredients and add alternately with berries and juice. Add vanilla. Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes. Makes 3 layers or can be baked in 9 x 13-inch pan. Suggest icing with confectioners sugar icing flavored with cinnamon.
