Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- water - 1 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- cocoa - 4 Tbsp
- buttermilk - 1/2 c
- stick butter - 1 item
- Crisco - 1/2 c
- Icing for Chocolate Cake - 1 item
How to make chocolate cake:
Sift flour. Combine with sugar and set aside. Put the next 4 ingredients together in saucepan and bring to a boil. Pour over sugar/flour mixture; mix well. Add eggs, buttermilk, cinnamon, soda and vanilla. Beat well. Bake in 10 3/4-inch wide, 1-inch deep and 16-inch long pan for 20 minutes at 400°.
