Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- packed brown sugar - 1 c
- sour cream - 1/3 c
- nutmeg - 1 tsp
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- baking soda - 1/2 tsp
- margarine, softened - 1/2 c
- sifted cake flour - 2 c
- ground cloves - 1/4 tsp
- large eggs, separated - 3 item
- seedless blackberry jam - 1 c
How to make blackberry cake:
Preheat oven to 375°. Grease and flour a 9-inch Bundt cake pan. Cream the butter and brown sugar until fluffy. Add the egg yolks and beat well. Sift the dry ingredients together. Stir the jam into sour cream. Add the dry mixture to the creamed mixture, alternating with the sour cream. Beat the egg whites until stiff, then fold into the batter.Pour batter into pan and bake for 45 to 50 minutes. Allow the cake to cool and dust with confectioners sugar.
