  • onion, chopped - 1 c
  • celery, diced - 1 c
  • meat for seasoning - 1 item

How to make black-eyed peas:

Soak peas for 3 hours. Drain. In 4-quart pot, add all ingredients and cover with water. Boil until peas are done. Serves 6 to 8.
