Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 Tbsp
- milk - 2/3 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- baking powder - 4 tsp
- shortening - 1/2 c
- sifted flour - 2 c
- cream of tartar - 1/2 tsp
- egg unbeaten - 1 item
How to make biscuits:
Blend all dry ingredients; add shortening and blend. Add milk slowly. Blend in egg. Stir until stiff dough is blended. Put on floured board and knead 5 times. Cut and bake. Bake at 400° for 15 to 20 minutes.Recipe categories: Breads, Rolls/biscuits, High calcium.
