Ingredients/Components
- milk - 3/4 c
- shortening - 1/2 c
- self-rising flour - 2 c
- bacon grease - 2 Tbsp
How to make biscuits:
Put flour in bowl. Cut shortening into flour real fine. Add milk until flour is doughy. Mix until all clings together in ball, handling lightly as possible. Roll out; cut into biscuits. Put bacon grease in biscuit pan and grease both sides of biscuits. Bake at 400° for 20 minutes, or until lightly browned.Recipe categories: Breads, Rolls/biscuits, High calcium.
