Beer barbecue sauce
Ingredients/Components
- pinch of salt - 1 item
- margarine - 3 Tbsp
- catsup
- plus 1 1/2 tsp - 2 Tbsp
- plus 1 tsp - 1 Tbsp
- black pepper - 1/4 tsp
- can beer - 1 oz
- minced garlic cloves - 3 item
- medium onions, sliced or chopped - 2 item
- hot peppers dry flakes - 1 tsp
How to make beer barbecue sauce:
Saute onions and garlic in margarine until slightly brown. Add remaining ingredients, except beer. Stir well until blended and then add beer in small amounts, carefully as it will bubble over. Simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.This sauce will keep for up to 2 months in a covered container in refrigerator. Good for chicken, pork and ham. The more beer, the thinner the sauce.
