Ingredients/Components
- salt
- water - 1 item
- carrots - 3 item
- stalks celery - 2 item
- medium potatoes - 3 item
- onion - 1 item
- bay leaves - 2 item
- pepper, ground - 1/8 tsp
- lean beef, diced - 2 lb
- diced tomatoes canned, optional - 16 oz
How to make beef stew:
Peel and wash vegetables. Cut meat into small size pieces. Dice all vegetables and place in slow cooker with meat and seasonings.Add tomatoes only if you like stew with tomato flavor. Fill pot almost to top with water. Cover, turn on low setting and cook for 24 hours or until done. Remove bay leaves before serving.
