  • milk - 5 c
  • nutmeg to taste - 1 item
  • salt to taste - 1 item
  • fresh pepper to taste - 1 item

How to make bechamel sauce:

In a saucepan combine butter and flour to make a roux; cook approximately 5 minutes, until roux is cooked. Then add warm milk in small amounts, stirring until all the milk has been added. Turn heat up and cook, stirring constantly, until sauce thickens.
