- cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- vanilla - 1/4 tsp

- flour - 1 c
- butter - 1/2 c
- egg - 1 item
- sliced almonds - 1/4 c
- thinly sliced apples
How to make bavarian apple torte:
Filling:1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened1/4 c. sugar1 egg1/2 tsp. vanilla Topping:4 c. thinly sliced apples1/3 c. sugar1/2 tsp. cinnamon1/4 c. sliced almonds Crust: Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Blend in vanilla. Add flour; mix well. Spread dough on bottom and 1 1/2 inches up sides of a 9-inch spring-form pan.Filling: Combine soft cream cheese and sugar; mix well. Blend in egg and vanilla. Pour into pan.
Topping: Toss apples with cinnamon and sugar. Spoon over cream cheese mixture. Sprinkle with nuts. Bake at 450° for 10 minutes, then at 400° for 25 minutes. Loosen rim of pan; cool. Remove rim and chill. Keep refrigerated. Serves 8 to 12.
