Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/3 c
- cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- vanilla - 1/4 tsp

- flour - 1 c
- butter - 1/2 c
- egg - 1 item
- sliced almonds - 1/4 c
- grated orange peel - 1 tsp
- cored, peeled, thinly sliced apples
How to make apple torte:
Filling:1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened1/4 c. sugar1 egg1/2 tsp. vanilla Topping:4 c. cored, peeled, thinly sliced apples1/3 c. sugar1 tsp. grated orange peel1/2 tsp. cinnamon1/4 c. sliced almonds Crust: Cream together butter and sugar. Beat in vanilla. Beat in flour until blended. Pat dough into bottom and 1 1/2-inches up sides of 9-inch spring-form pan.Filling: Beat together cream cheese, sugar, egg and vanilla until smooth. Pour into crust.
Topping: Toss together apples, sugar, peel and cinnamon. Arrange topping over filling. Sprinkle with almonds.
Bake in 450° oven for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 400° and bake 25 minutes more. Let cake cool in pan. Serves 8.
