Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1/4 c
  • cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
  • vanilla - 1/4 tsp
  • pkg - 1 oz
  • flour - 1 c
  • butter - 1/2 c
  • egg - 1 item
  • sliced almonds - 1/4 c
  • sliced apples - 4 c

How to make bavarian apple torte:

Cream the vanilla, 1/4 cup sugar and butter. Blend in the flour. Spread the dough on the bottom and sides of a 9-inch spring-form pan.

Cream together the cream cheese, 2 tablespoons sugar, vanilla and egg. Pour this mixture on top of dough.

Mix 1/3 cup sugar, cinnamon and then add the apples and almonds. Toss together with spoon and put over cream cheese. Bake at 450° for 10 minutes, then reduce to 400° for 25 minutes.
