Bavarian apple torte
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/4 c
- cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- vanilla - 1/4 tsp
- pkg - 1 oz
- flour - 1 c
- butter - 1/2 c
- egg - 1 item
- sliced almonds - 1/4 c
- sliced apples - 4 c
How to make bavarian apple torte:
Cream the vanilla, 1/4 cup sugar and butter. Blend in the flour. Spread the dough on the bottom and sides of a 9-inch spring-form pan.Cream together the cream cheese, 2 tablespoons sugar, vanilla and egg. Pour this mixture on top of dough.
Mix 1/3 cup sugar, cinnamon and then add the apples and almonds. Toss together with spoon and put over cream cheese. Bake at 450° for 10 minutes, then reduce to 400° for 25 minutes.
