Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 Tbsp
- salt - 2 tsp
- sifted flour - 3 c
- warm water
- soft shortening - 2 Tbsp
- dry yeast - 1 pkg
How to make batter bread:
Sprinkle yeast on warm water. Stir until dissolved. Add shortening, salt, sugar and 1 1/2 cups of flour. Let rise until 1-inch from top of pan (about 40 minutes). Bake 45 to 50 minutes at 375°.Recipe categories: Breads, Low cholesterol, Yeast breads.
