How to make basic white sauce:
Medium:2 Tbsp. butter2 Tbsp. flour1 c. milk1/4 tsp. salt1/8 tsp. pepper Thick:3 Tbsp. butter3 Tbsp. flour1 c. milk1/4 tsp. salt few grains pepper In a skillet, using medium heat, melt the butter. Add the flour and stirring constantly, cook the flour until it bubbles and becomes thick and smooth (approximately 5 minutes).Add the milk and salt, and stirring constantly, cook until white sauce thickens approximately 5 minutes.
