Ingredients/Components
- salt - 2 tsp
- brown sugar - 1/2 c
- cider vinegar
- lemon juice - 1 Tbsp
- dry mustard - 1/2 tsp
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- Worcestershire sauce - 1/4 c
- chopped onion - 2 Tbsp
- ketchup - 1/2 c
- chili sauce - 1/4 c
- garlic clove, minced - 1 item
- medium onion, quartered - 1 item
- dash of cayenne pepper - 1 item
- pork spareribs - 4 lb
How to make barbecued spareribs:
Sauce:1/2 c. cider vinegar1/2 c. brown sugar1/2 c. ketchup1/4 c. chili sauce1/4 c. Worcestershire sauce2 Tbsp. chopped onion1 Tbsp. lemon juice1/2 tsp. dry mustard1 garlic clove, minced dash of cayenne pepper In large kettle, place ribs and onion; sprinkle with salt and pepper. Add enough water to cover; bring to boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 1 1/2 hours or until tender; drain.Combine all sauce ingredients in saucepan. Simmer, uncovered, for 1 hour or until thickened, stirring occasionally. Arrange ribs on rack in a broiler pan. Brush with sauce. Broil 5 minutes. Yield: 4 servings.
