Ingredients/Components
- butter - 1 item
- confectioners sugar - 6 Tbsp
- heavy cream - 1 c
- dark brown sugar - 1 item
- dry white wine - 1 item
- dry sherry - 1/3 c
- canned pear halves - 1 item
- pear syrup - 1 item
How to make baked pears:
In shallow baking dish, buttered, arrange pear halves, cut sides up. Dot the pears with butter. Sprinkle them with dark brown sugar and pour in a mixture of half the pear syrup and an equal amount of wine. Bake the pears in hot oven (400°) until they are light brown in color.Beat cream with 6 tablespoons of sugar until it is stiff. Fold in dry sherry and sprinkle the sauce with a little ground nutmeg. Serve the pears warm accompanied by the sauce.
