Ingredients/Components
- half and half - 1 qt
- vanilla - 1 Tbsp
- brown sugar - 1 c
- 1/2 sticks butter - 1 item
- to 8 eggs - 6 item
- loaves French or Italian bread - 2 item
How to make baked french toast:
Melt butter and sugar in 9 x 13-inch Pyrex dish. Cut bread into thick slices. Layer bread over sugar and butter in two layers. Beat eggs, half and half and vanilla. Pour over bread. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Bake uncovered at 350° for 45 minutes or until light brown. Serve each person 2 layers so they get brown sugar bottom.Recipe categories: Breakfast, European, French.
