Baked caramel corn
Ingredients/Components
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- soda - 1/2 tsp
- margarine - 1 c
- brown sugar, packed - 2 c
- white Karo syrup - 1/2 c
- popped popcorn - 6 qt
How to make baked caramel corn:
Melt margarine. Stir in brown sugar, Karo and salt. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Boil for 5 minutes without stirring. Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla. Bake in a 250° oven for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Cool. Yields 5 quarts.Recipe categories: Desserts, Lunch/snacks, Snacks.
