Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1/3 c
  • butter - 1/2 c
  • pinch of salt - 1 item
  • raisins - 1/2 c
  • cream - 2 Tbsp
  • egg yolk - 1 item
  • squeeze of lemon - 1 item
  • brie round - 1 lb
  • sheet Pepperidge Farm puff pastry frozen - 1 item
  • Apple Raisin Compote:2 to 3 apples, chopped

How to make baked brie:

Apple Raisin Compote:2 to 3 apples, chopped1/2 c. butter1/3 c. sugar pinch of salt1/2 c. raisins squeeze of lemon Thaw out pastry sheet. Dust with flour and roll out with a rolling pin. Place brie in center and wrap, folding edges underneath. Beat egg yolk with cream and brush over pastry dough. Place on cookie sheet and bake for 30 minutes at 400° until pastry puffs and turns golden brown.

Apple Raisin Compote: Heat all ingredients until sugar dissolves and apples soften.

Place cooked brie on large dish and place the warm Apple Raisin Compote around the brie (do not pour over). Serve with crackers.
