  • melted butter or margarine - 3 Tbsp
  • Cheddar cheese, grated - 1 c
  • can mushroom soup - 1 oz
  • crackers, crumbled - 10 item
  • can asparagus - 1 to
  • eggs, boiled and chopped - 2 item
  • leftover peas or lima beans - 1 item

How to make asparagus casserole:

Put ingredients in layers: peas or lima beans (optional), 1/3 can mushroom soup, 1/2 can asparagus, 1 egg, 1/3 can mushroom soup, repeat asparagus, egg and mushroom soup. Mix cheese, crackers and melted margarine in bowl. Put on top of casserole. Bake at 350° until bubbly.
