  • sugar - 1 c
  • flour - 2 c
  • melted margarine - 2 Tbsp
  • baking powder - 3 tsp
  • baking soda - 1/4 tsp
  • egg - 1 item
  • warm water - 1/2 c
  • orange juice - 1/2 c
  • chopped nuts walnuts or pecans - 1 c
  • chopped apricots - 3/4 c

How to make apricot nut bread:

Soak apricots in 1/2 cup warm water for 30 minutes. Beat eggs, sugar and melted margarine. Add dry ingredients alternately with orange juice. Add apricots and nuts. Pour into a greased and floured 5 x 9-inch bread pan. Bake at 325° for 50 to 60 minutes.
