  • baking powder - 5 tsp
  • egg - 1 item
  • shortening - 1/2 c
  • nuts - 1 c
  • raisins - 1 c
  • cloves
  • applesauce

How to make applesauce cake:

Mix together the shortening and sugar. Add 1 egg, applesauce and flour. Sift together baking powder, cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg, raisins and nuts. Put in sack with flour and shake. Bake 1 1/4 hours at 350°.
